SEBI warned companies about the rising 'Boss Scam' or CEO-impersonation fraud, where fraudsters use fake WhatsApp accounts, AI-generated voice cloning, deepfake video calls and emails to impersonate senior officials and pressure employees into urgent fund transfers. The warning followed a rise in such cases reported by the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C).

Income Tax Day is observed on July 24 to commemorate the introduction of income tax in India in 1860 by Sir James Wilson, the first Finance Member of British India, after the Revolt of 1857. The CBDT has officially observed it since 2010. The 167th Income Tax Day (2026) is the first celebration after the Income-tax Act, 2025 came into force on 1 April 2026.
1857 கிளர்ச்சிக்குப் பிறகு பிரிட்டிஷ் இந்தியாவின் முதல் நிதி உறுப்பினர் சர் ஜேம்ஸ் வில்சனால் 1860-இல் இந்தியாவில் வருமான வரி அறிமுகப்படுத்தப்பட்டதை நினைவுகூர ஜூலை 24 அன்று வருமான வரி தினம் அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது. 2010 முதல் CBDT இதை அதிகாரப்பூர்வமாக அனுசரித்து வருகிறது.
