2.With the rapid conversion of paddy fields and wetlands into housing plots in Kanyakumari district, the Collector M. Arvind has issued an order against non-agricultural activity on wet agriculture lands.
A.A no-objection certificate (NOC) should be obtained from the Collector for non-agricultural activities and construction of houses and buildings.
B.A helpline, 1077, has been created for people to lodge complaints against violations on wetlands.
C.Buildings constructed without NOCs from the Collector would not get water and electricity connections.

3.The Minister for Commercial Taxes and Registration P. Moorthy on July 19, 2021 announced several reform measures in Tamil Nadu Registration Department. They are:
A.Unapproved plots would not be registered in the State.
B.Departmental action would be taken against officials violating registration rules.
C.Action would be taken to eradicate the role of intermediaries at registration offices.
D.A token system would be introduced to serve customers on a first come, first served basis at registration offices.

C.இடைத்தரகர்கள் இன்றி குறிப்பிட்ட நேரத்தில் உரியவர்களை அலுவலகத்துக்கு வரவழைத்து பதிவு செய்ய வேண்டும்.
D.பதிவுத்துறை அலுவலகங்களில் டோக்கன் அமைப்பு முறை அறிமுகப்படுத்தப்படும்.
4.The UN Development Programme (UNDP) has announced the winners of the 12th Equator Prize. Aadhimalai Pazhangudiyinar Producer Company Limited (Tamil Nadu) and Snehakunja Trust (Karnataka) are among the 10 awardees of the prestigious Equator Prize for their work in the field of conservation and biodiversity.
