1. India’s Nuclear Energy Milestone at Kalpakkam, Tamil Nadu
One of the most significant scientific achievements of June 2026 came from Tamil Nadu itself — the inauguration of the world’s first nuclear heat-based hydrogen production facility at the Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR), Kalpakkam, on June 26, 2026.
