How this was done
Our research team took the General Studies paper of 01.11.2026 and worked backwards from each question to the book it came from. Forty questions resolved to a Tamil Nadu State Board textbook with the unit and page recorded. Not one needed a coaching note or a private guide.

Standards 10, 11 and 12 supply 40 of the 47 sources. The 10th Standard Social Science book is the single most productive text in the paper — History Unit 10 alone was the source for four separate questions.

Five things worth acting on
10th Social Science is the book to finish first. History Unit 10 was the source for four questions, Unit 9 for two more, and Civics Units 1 and 2 for three. If a candidate finishes only one book cover to cover, this is the one.
Tamil questions came from the book back. Four Tamil sources are exercise sections — 10th page 169 twice, 12th page 158, and 6th Term 3 page 63. Reading the lessons and skipping the exercises costs marks.
Political Science is now a second pillar. 11th Standard Political Science was cited from Units 4, 11, 12, 13 and 14. Nearly the whole book is live territory.
Science is in, but narrow. 12th Botany Unit 7, 11th Bio-Chemistry Unit 4, 11th Agricultural Science Unit 1, 9th Science Unit 22. A short list — revise those, do not read whole science books.
Check your edition before chasing a page. 11th History Unit 4 is page 76 in the 2018 edition and pages 61 to 62 in the 2024 edition.

Why we are telling you this.
A source map that reports only the convenient findings is not worth planning from. Seven of the forty-seven we resolved sat outside the school books, and a candidate who prepares from textbooks alone will meet them unprepared.

What to do next
The finding to act on is the 10th Standard Social Science book. Four questions came out of a single unit of it, and it is a book most candidates skim rather than finish. Start there, read the book-back exercises in Tamil, and treat 11th Political Science as a full book rather than a few units.
