Name of the Post : Post Graduate Assistants(PG Assistants) / Physical Education Directors Grade – I.

Age Limit : Candidates should not be over 57 years as on 01-07-2019.

Educational Qualifications : 

• Post Graduate Assistants : Candidates must be a Post Graduate with at least 50% marks (or its equivalent) from recognized University and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)/B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed., from any NCTE recognized institution.
• Physical Education Directors : Candidates must have a Degree in  Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed) or Bachelor of Physical Education (BPE) or Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Health and Physical Education and Degree in Sports with at least 55% marks.

Pay Scale : (Rs.36900 – 116600) (Level – 18) in the minimum pay of Rs.36900.

Examination fee :

• For All Candidates –  Rs.500/-
• For SC, SCA, ST & PWD Candidates – Rs.250/-

•  Qualifications:
  a) Age Limit : Candidates should not be over 57 years as on 0 1-07-2019
  as the age of superannuation is 58 years.
  b) Educational Qualifications:
  Post Graduate Assistants
  No persons shall be eligible for appointment to the Post graduate
  Assistant post unless the candidate possesses the following qualifications as
  per G.O.(Ms) No.70, School Education (MS) Department, Dated 12.04.2018.
  (i) Post Graduate with at least 50% marks (or its equivalent) from
  recognized University and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from
  National Council for Teacher Education recognized institution.
  (or)
  (ii) Post Graduate with at least 45% marks (or its equivalent) from
  recognized University and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from NCTE
  recognized institution (in accordance with the National Council for
  Teacher Education (Form of application for recognition, the time limit
  of submission of application, determination of norms and standards
  for recognition of teacher education programmes and permission to
  start new course of training) Regulation (Recognition Norms and
  Procedure) Regulations, 2007 notified on 10.12.2007.
  (or)
  (iii) Post Graduate with at least 50% marks (or its equivalent) from
  recognized University and B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed., from any NCTE
  recognized institution.
  The above NCTE norm is applicable with the below mentioned relevant
  qualification as per the communication received from Director of School
  Education.
  (i) A Master’s degree and Bachelor’s degree in the same subject or its
  equivalent; and
  (ii) B.Ed degree of a University in the State or a teaching degree of
  equivalent standards.

• Scheme of Examination:
  a ) The Computer Based Examination will consist of a single
  paper of 3 hours duration with 150 MCQs. Each question carries one
  mark. The marks allotted to the Main Subject, Educational Methodology
  and General Knowledge are as follows:
  Main Subject 110
  Educational Methodology 30
  General Knowledge 10
  Total 150
• b ) Medium of Examination
  (i) Academic Subjects
  (Except Bio-Chemistry, Indian Culture,
  Micro Biology, and Home Science)
  – Tamil and English
  (ii) Languages – Respective Languages
  (iii) Bio-Chemistry, Indian Culture,
  Micro Biology, Home Science
  and Physical Education
  – English
  c ) Minimum Eligibility Marks: As per G.O.Ms.No.107, School
  Education (Q2) Department, dated 24.07.2003 and Govt. Lr.
  No.12305/Q2/03-02, dated 08.10.2003, candidates have to secure a
  minimum of 50% marks in the Examination. F or SC/SCA candidates,
  the minimum is 45% marks and for ST candidates, it is 40% marks.
• Selection Procedure :
  The selection will be based on two successive stages viz.
  a. Computer based examination;
  b. Certificate Verification;
  a) Computer Based Examination:
  The Date, Time and Centre for the Computer Based Examination will
  be indicated in the Hall Ticket. The Hall Ticket for the eligible candidates
  will be uploaded by the Teachers Recruitment Board in its website. The
  candidates are advised to refer to the Teachers Recruitment Board website
  for details (http://http://www.trb.tn.nic.in). No written communication will be sent
  to the candidate.
  The participation of the candidates in the Computer Based Examination
  is purely provisional and does not confer any acceptance of their claim in the
  application.
  Scribes:
  Visually Impaired candidates/eligible Orthopedically Impaired
  candidates will be allowed assistance of scribes based on the Disability
  Certificate /Medical Certificate submitted by the candidates.
  Examination Results:
  The Roll-Number-wise Mark List of all candidates will be published in
  the website of Teachers Recruitment Board viz. http://www.trb.tn.nic.in.
  A press release will be issued in this connection through print or visual
  media.
