839 vacancies across 56 post categories. Notified 7 July 2026, applications close 15 August 2026, 11:59 PM. Examinations begin 20 September 2026 and run over seven days.
Group 1 — Combined Civil Services Examination I
26 vacancies. Notified 23 June 2026, applications closed 29 July 2026. The preliminary examination has been postponed from 6 September to 27 September 2026 by press release dated 16 July 2026.
Combined Technical Services — Non-Interview Posts
461 vacancies across 45 post categories. Notified 20 May 2026, applications closed 25 June 2026. Two addenda were issued, on 11 June and 16 July 2026. The examination cycle began 3 August 2026.

Rules that apply to every TNPSC recruitment
| Eligibility is post-specific and must be satisfied on the crucial date named in that notification. |
| You apply online through One Time Registration (OTR). OTR by itself is not an application for a recruitment. |
| Admission at every stage is provisional and can be cancelled if a claim or document is invalid. |
| Qualifications must normally be acquired by the notification date, in the prescribed order of study. |
| Adequate knowledge of Tamil with documentary proof is required as specified in the notification. |
| PSTM, disability, ex-servicemen, destitute-widow, sports and fee-exemption claims need the prescribed documents and apply only where the rules permit. |
| Equivalent qualifications need the government order or other proof TNPSC requires — a similar course title is not enough. |
| “No maximum age limit” ordinarily means you must not have completed 60 years on the specified date or at appointment. |
Group 2, 2A and Group 4
The Group 2 / 2A notification is due on 11 August 2026 and Group 4 on 6 October 2026. Age limits, qualifications and vacancy counts are fixed by each notification, so we will publish them here the day they are out rather than carry over an older year’s figures.
