1.P. Dhanasekaran and M.Sreedhar have been appointed as State Information Commissioners in the Tamil Nadu Information Commission. Their appointment comes after R.Dhakshinamurthy and G.Murugan ceased to hold the posts. According to a G.O., Mr.Dhanasekaran and Mr.Sreedhar will hold office for a term of three years from the date on which they assume office or the date on which they attain 65 years of age, whichever is earlier.

4.The 29th edition of NASSCOM Technology and Leadership Forum (NTLF) is being organised from February 17-19. It is the flagship event of the National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM). The theme of this year’s event is `Shaping the future towards a better normal`.

5.The Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu has accorded recognition to Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge as the Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha with effect from February 16. Kharge was named Congress leader in the House to succeed Ghulam Nabi Azad whose term has ended.
