1.Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat on March 24 commissioned the Indian Coast Guard Ship (ICGS) Vajra in Chennai. The ship is the sixth in the series of seven Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPVs) constructed by Larsen & Toubro Ltd.
சென்னையை அடுத்த காட்டுப்பள்ளியில் 7 ரோந்து கப்பல்கள் கட்டுவதற்காக பாதுகாப்பு அமைச்சகம் சார்பில் பணி ஆணை வழங்கப்பட்டிருந்தது. இங்கு L&T நிறுவனம் உருவாக்கிய 6வது ரோந்து கப்பலான ‘வஜ்ரா கப்பல்’ இந்தியக் கடலோரக் காவல் படையில் இணைக்கும் நிகழ்வு மார்ச் 24 அன்று நடைபெற்றது. இதில் கலந்துகொண்ட முப்படைத் தலைமைத் தளபதி பிபின் ராவத், வஜ்ரா கப்பலை நாட்டுக்கு அர்ப்பணித்தார்.

3.Delhi University on March 23 (Shaheed Diwas) organised a programme to commemorate 90 years of martyrdom of Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru at which Minister of Education Ramesh Pokhriyal inaugurated the “Shaheed Bhagat Singh Smarak” (Shaheed Bhagat Singh Memorial) and “Shaheed Smriti Pustakalaya” (Shaheed Smriti Library).

4.India and the U.S. have agreed to re-establish the U.S.- India Homeland Security Dialogue, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has announced, following a discussion between India’s Ambassador to the United States, Taranjit Singh Sandhu, and U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro N. Mayorkas.

The Indian delegation is led by Pradeep Kumar Saxena. The Pakistan delegation is led by its Indus Commissioner Syed Muhammad Meher Ali Shah.

7.The UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) in Geneva on March 23, 2021 adopted the resolution titled ‘Promotion of Reconciliation Accountability and Human Rights in Sri Lanka’ against Sri Lanka’s human rights record. India abstained from voting on a resolution.
