1. A team from the Archaeological Survey of India has surveyed Adichanallur to select the right place for establishing a world class museum for displaying the artefacts retrieved from this archaeologically significant site.

 

தூத்துக்குடி மாவட்டம் ஆதிச்சநல்லூரில் உலகத்தரம் வாய்ந்த அருங்காட்சியம் அமைப்பது தொடர்பாக மத்திய தொல்லியல் துறை அதிகாரிகள் குழுவினர் ஆய்வு செய்துள்ளனர்.

 

2. The Tamil Nadu Information Commission has imposed a maximum penalty of ₹25,000 on the Public Information Officer/Assistant Revenue Officer, Greater Chennai Corporation, for notsharing information sought under the Right to Information Act, 2005.

3. Botanists have discovered a new species of wild sunrose from the Eastern Ghats in India. The new species, named Portulaca laljii, discovered from Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh has unique features such as a tuberous root, no hair in its leaf axils, a reddish pink flower, prolate shaped fruits, and copper brown seeds without lustre.
