1. The eight member inter Ministerial team deputed by the Central government to Cuddalore district to assess the damage caused by Cyclone Burevi visited Chidambaram. The team is led by Ashutosh Agnihotri.

புரேவி புயலால் ஏற்பட்ட சேதங்களை மதிப்பிடுவதற்காக மத்திய அரசால் கடலூர் மாவட்டத்திற்கு அனுப்பப்பட்ட எட்டு பேர் கொண்ட குழு சிதம்பரம் பகுதியை பார்வையிட்டனர். அந்தக் குழுவை அசுதோஷ் அக்னிஹோத்ரி தலைமை தாங்குகிறார்.

 

2. Tamil Nadu has won a gold award under the category ‘Excellence in Digital Governance    – State/U.T.’ at the Digital India Award, 2020.

டிஜிட்டல் ஆளுமையில் சிறந்த மாநிலம் என்ற பிரிவில் தமிழக அரசுக்கு ‘டிஜிட்டல் இந்தியா-2020’ தங்க விருதினை குடியரசுத் தலைவர் ராம்நாத் கோவிந்த் வழங்கினார்.

3. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the extension of tenure of Mr. Sivan K, Secretary, Department of Space, and Chairman, Space Commission, for a period of one year up to January 14, 2022, a Personnel Ministry order said.

இந்திய விண்வெளி ஆய்வு நிறுவனத்தின் (இஸ்ரோ) தலைவராக உள்ள கே.சிவனின் பதவிக்காலத்தை மேலும் ஒரு ஆண்டு நீட்டித்து மத்திய அரசு உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளது.

 

4. The Ministry of Home Affairs has declared the entire State of Nagaland as a “disturbed area” for six more months under the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act (AFSPA) that empowers security forces to conduct operations anywhere and arrest anyone without prior notice.

ஆயுதப் படைகள் (சிறப்பு அதிகாரங்கள்) சட்டத்தின் (AFSPA) கீழ் மேலும் ஆறு மாதங்களுக்கு நாகலாந்து மாநிலம் முழுவதையும் “தொந்தரவு நிறைந்த பகுதி” என்று உள்துறை அமைச்சகம் அறிவித்துள்ளது.

5. The World Health Organization has recently launched a COVID-19 mobile application. The application provides users with the latest updates on covid-19. The application is called the “WHO COVID-19 app”.
