Tamil Nadu

 

1. The Tamil Nadu government is conducting a State-wide census to identify children who are out of school, dropped out, or are disabled. The census which started on November 21 will be carried out until December 10, said a statement from the Revenue Department, which will act as the nodal body for the exercise. The aim will be to identify children who do not go to school or dropout between the ages of 6 and 18, and all disabled children under 18. The children who are identified to be out of schools will be reintegrated and enrolled into the education system appropriately, as mandated under the Right to Education (RTE) Act.

பள்ளிக்குச் செல்லாத (படிப்பை கைவிட்ட அல்லது ஊனமுற்ற) குழந்தைகளை அடையாளம் காண தமிழ்நாடு அரசு மாநிலம் தழுவிய கணக்கெடுப்பை நடத்தி வருகிறது. நவம்பர் 21 ஆம் தேதி தொடங்கிய கணக்கெடுப்பு டிசம்பர் 10 ஆம் தேதி வரை மேற்கொள்ளப்படும் என்று வருவாய்த் துறையின் அறிக்கை தெரிவிக்கிறது. 6 முதல் 18 வயதுக்குட்பட்ட பள்ளிக்குச் செல்லாத அடையாளம் காண்பதே இதன் நோக்கம். கல்வி உரிமை (ஆர்.டி.இ) சட்டத்தின் கீழ் கட்டாயப்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளபடி, பள்ளிகளுக்கு வெளியே இருப்பதாக அடையாளம் காணப்பட்ட குழந்தைகள் சரியான முறையில் மீண்டும் ஒருங்கிணைக்கப்பட்டு கல்வி முறைக்கு சேர்க்கப்படுவார்கள்.

 

2. Salem Suramangalam All Women Police Station has been selected as the 2nd best police station in India and has received the award. Coimbatore RS Puram Police Station in 2017, Theni District Periyakulam Police Station in 2018 and Theni All Women Police Station in 2019 received this award.

இந்தியாவிலேயே 2-வது சிறந்தகாவல் நிலையமாக சேலம் சூரமங்கலம் அனைத்து மகளிர் காவல் நிலையம் தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டு விருது பெற்றுள்ளது. கடந்த 2017-ம் ஆண்டில் கோயம்புத்தூர் ஆர்.எஸ்.புரம் காவல் நிலையமும், 2018-ம் ஆண்டு தேனி மாவட்டம் பெரியகுளம் காவல் நிலையமும், 2019-ம் ஆண்டு தேனி அனைத்து மகளிர் காவல் நிலையமும் இந்த விருதை பெற்றன.

3. The Government of India selects best performing Police Stations across the country every year, to incentivize more effective functioning of police stations and bring healthy competition among them. The first is  Nongpok Sekmai Police Station at Thoubal District in Manipur, the second is Suramangalam All Women Police Station at Salem District in Tamil Nadu and the third is Kharsang Police Station at Changlang District in Arunachal Pradesh.

4. All States except Jharkhand and all the 3 Union Territories with Legislative Assembly have decided in favour of Option-1 to meet the revenue shortfall arising out of GST implementation. The States & Union Territories who choose Option-1 are getting the amount of shortfall arising out of GST implementation through a special borrowing window put in place by the Government of India.

5. The Prime Minister is delivering a keynote address at the IIT-2020 Global Summit, organised by PanIIT USA, on 4th December 2020. The theme of this year’s summit is ‘The Future is Now’.
