1. The Inter-Ministerial Central Team led by Union Home Ministry Joint Secretary Ashutosh Agnihotri visited cyclone Nivar-affected areas of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry to assess the damage to civic infrastructure caused by flooding during the recent rain.

2. Pfizer India became the first pharmaceutical firm to seek from the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) an emergency use authorisation for its COVID-19 vaccine in the country, after its parent company secured clearance in the U.K. and Bahrain.

இந்தியாவில் அவசர கால பயன்பாட்டுக்கான அனுமதியை வழங்குமாறு இந்திய தலைமை மருந்து கட்டுப்பாட்டாளரிடம் (DCGI) ஃபைசர் (Pfizer) நிறுவனம் விண்ணப்பித்துள்ளது. அதில் தடுப்பூசியை அமெரிக்காவில் இருந்து இறக்குமதி செய்து இந்தியாவில் விற்க அனுமதிக்குமாறு கோரிக்கை விடப்பட்டுள்ளது. இந்தியாவில் கிளினிக்கல் சோதனைகளை நடத்தாமலேயே தடுப்பூசியை விற்க அனுமதிக்குமாறும் கேட்டுக் கொள்ளப்பட்டுள்ளது.
