1. The Supreme Court verdict has upholded the land acquisition notification for the Salem-Krishnagiri-Chennai eight lane expressway project (NH179A and NH179B) which is a part of the first phase of the ‘Bharatmala Pariyojna’.

மத்திய அரசு அறிவித்த `பாரத்மாலா பரியோஜனா’ திட்டத்தின் கீழ் தொடங்கப்பட்ட சென்னை-சேலம் இடையே எட்டுவழிச் சாலை திட்டத்திற்கு உச்ச நீதிமன்றம் அனுமதி அளித்துள்ளது. இத்திட்டத்தை எதிர்த்து தொடரப்பட்ட மனுக்களை தள்ளுபடி செய்து நிலம் கையகப்படுத்துதல் உள்ளிட்ட இது தொடர்பான அனைத்து நடவடிக்கைகளுக்கும் பச்சைக்கொடி காட்டியுள்ளது.

4. V Muraleedharan, Minister of State for External Affairs has inaugurated the website for 16th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) 2021. The theme of PBD 2021 is “Contributing to Atmanirbhar Bharat”. PBD is celebrated on 9th January every year to mark the contribution of Overseas Indian community in the development of India. 9th January was chosen as the day to celebrate this occasion since it was on this day in 1915 that Mahatma Gandhi returned to India from South Africa and eventually led India’s freedom struggle.

16வது பிரவாசி பாரதிய திவாஸ் (PBD) 2021 க்கான வலைத்தளத்தை வெளிவிவகாரத்துறை அமைச்சர் வி.முரளிதரன் திறந்து வைத்துள்ளார். PBD 2021 இன் மையப்பொருள் “ஆத்மநிர்பார் பாரதத்திற்கு பங்களிப்பு” என்பதாகும். PBD இந்தியாவின் வளர்ச்சியில் வெளிநாட்டு இந்திய சமூகத்தின் பங்களிப்பைக் குறிக்கும் வகையில் ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் ஜனவரி 9 ஆம் தேதி கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. 1915 ஆம் ஆண்டு இந்த நாளில் தான் மகாத்மா காந்தி தென்னாப்பிரிக்காவிலிருந்து இந்தியாவுக்கு திரும்பினார்.
