Tamil Nadu

1.Tamil Nadu has bagged the first place in the best State (normal) category in the Union ministry of Jal Shakti’s National Water Awards, 2019. During the National Water Awards 2019 ceremony, 98 awards will be presented in 16 different categories.

1. 1. Under the ‘Revival of River’ category – Vellore (First) and Karur (Second)
   2. Under the category ‘Water Conservation’ at the national level – Perambalur district (Second)
   3. Under the category of Best Urban Local Body – Madurai (Second)
   4. Under the Water Warriors category –  Manikandan, Coordinator, Kovai Kulangal Pathukappu Amaippu (First) and Coimbatore and Sakthinathan Ganapathy Pandian of Anna University (Second)

2.The Hindu Group’s ongoing campaign ‘Tamil Nadu Smiling’ is aimed at bringing together the people of the State, its traders and retail organisations and government authorities to find ways to emerge from the effects of the pandemic.

India

      3.The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has successfully launched the earth observation satellite, EOS-01 and nine international customer spacecrafts on board the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) C49 in its first mission this year amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

4.Yashvardhan K Sinha has been appointed as the new Chief Information Commissioner (CIC) of India.

5.The IMD has announced that it will start providing a Malaria outbreak forecast from next monsoon.

6.The Ministry Of Road Transport and Highways has made FASTags mandatory for four wheelers.

7.November 7 is observed as National Cancer Awareness Day in India. It coincided with the birth anniversary of scientist Marie Curie.

International 

     8.Democratic candidate Joseph Robinette Biden Jr., was elected as the 46th President of the United States, beating incumbent U.S. President Donald Trump. Kamala Devi Harris, a U.S.Senator from California, will become the first woman in the first Indian and African American Vice President of the country. The ancestral village of Kamala Harris is in Thiruvarur district of Tamil Nadu.

9.The United Arab Emirates announced on Saturday a major overhaul of the country’s Islamic personal laws, allowing unmarried couples to cohabitate, loosening alcohol restrictions and criminalising so-called “honour killings.”

தமிழ்நாடு

    1.ஜல் சக்தி அமைச்சகம் சார்பில் நீர் மேலாண்மையில் சிறந்து விளங்கும் மாநிலங்களுக்கு 98 விருதுகள் 16 பிரிவுகளின் கீழ் வழங்கப்படுகின்றன.  இதில் நீர் மேலாண்மையில் சிறந்து விளங்கும் மாநிலமாக தமிழகம் தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. மகாராஷ்டிரா, ராஜஸ்தான் ஆகிய மாநிலங்கள் முறையே 2-வது மற்றும் 3-வது இடத்தைப் பெற்றுள்ளன.

2.தி இந்து குழுமம் சார்பில் கொரோனா தொற்று தாக்கத்தில் இருந்து வெளியேற ‘தமிழ்நாடு ஸ்மைலிங்’ என்ற விழிப்புணர்வு பிரச்சாரம் தொடங்கப்பட்டு நடைபெற்று வருகிறது.

இந்தியா

இந்திய விண்வெளி ஆய்வு நிறுவனம் (இஸ்ரோ) இன்று பிஎஸ்எல்வி-சி 49 ராக்கெட்டை வெற்றிகரமாக விண்ணில் ஏவியுள்ளது. கொரோனா பாதிப்பு தொடங்கியதற்கு பின் இந்தியா அனுப்பியுள்ள முதல் ராக்கெட் இதுவென்பது கூடுதல் சிறப்பு. இந்த ராக்கெட்டில் இஸ்ரோவின் புதிய புவி கண்காணிப்பு செயற்கைகோள் (EOS-01) மற்றும் இதர வாடிக்கையாளர் நாடுகளை சேர்ந்த ஒன்பது செயற்கைகோள்களும் அனுப்பப்பட்டுள்ளன.

மத்திய தலைமை தகவல் ஆணையராக திரு. யஸ்வர்தன் குமார் சின்ஹா  இன்று பதவியேற்றுக் கொண்டார். குடியரசுத் தலைவர் திரு. ராம்நாத் கோவிந்த் அவருக்கு பதவி பிரமாணம் செய்து வைத்தார்.

ஜனவரி 2021, 1ம் தேதி முதல் அனைத்து நான்கு சக்கர வாகனங்களுக்கும் ஃபாஸ்டேக் நடைமுறை கட்டாயமாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

அடுத்த பருவ காலம் முதல் இந்திய வானிலை ஆய்வு மையம் மலேரியா நோய் பரவலுக்கு முன்னறிவிப்பு செய்ய உள்ளதாக அறிவித்துள்ளது.

இந்தியாவில் மார்பகப் புற்றுநோய் பற்றிய விழிப்புணர்வை பொது மக்களிடம் ஏற்படுத்த ஆண்டுதோறும் நவம்பர் 7ஆம் தேதி தேசிய புற்றுநோய் விழிப்புணர்வு தினமாக கடைபிடிக்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது.
