1.The Tamil Nadu Special Reservation of seats in Educational Institutions including Private Educational Institutions and of appointment or posts in the services under the State with the reservation for Most Backward Classes and Denotified Communities Act, 2021 shortly called as the Special Reservation Act of 2021, has received the assent of Governor Banwarilal Purohit on February 26. The gazette notification was also issued on the same day. The law has divided MBCs into 3 groups – the Most Backward Class of the Vanniakula Kshatriyas will get 10.5%, the Most Backward Classes and Denotified Communities 7% and the Most Backward Classes 2.5%.
சட்டப்பேரவையில் கொண்டு வரப்பட்டு நிறைவேற்றப்பட்ட வன்னியர்களுக்கு 10.5% உள் ஒதுக்கீடு வழங்கும் சட்ட மசோதாவுக்குத் தமிழக ஆளுநர் பன்வாரிலால் புரோஹித் பிப்ரவரி 26 அன்று ஒப்புதல் வழங்கியுள்ளார். மிக பிற்படுத்தப்பட்டோருக்கான 20% இடஒதுக்கீட்டில், ‘எம்பிசி-வி’ என்ற புதிய பிரிவு ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்டு, வன்னியர்களுக்கு 10.5% உள் ஒதுக்கீடு வழங்கும் வகையில் மசோதா நிறைவேற்றப்பட்டுள்ளது. மேலும், மிக பிற்படுத்தப்பட்டோர் பிரிவில் உள்ள சீர்மரபினருக்கு 7% உள் ஒதுக்கீடு வழங்கவும் இந்த மசோதா வழிவகை செய்கிறது. 20% இடஒதுக்கீட்டில் மீதம் உள்ள 2.5% மிக பிற்படுத்தப்பட்டோர் பிரிவில் உள்ள மற்ற சமுதாயத்தினருக்கான இடஒதுக்கீடு ஆகும்.

2.The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on February 28 launched the primary satellite Amazonia-1 of Brazil and 18 co-passenger satellites onboard the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C51) from Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) Sriharikota Range (SHAR). PSLV-C51/Amazonia-1 is the first dedicated commercial mission of New Space India Limited (NSIL), a Government of India company under the Department of Space.

3.‘The India Toy Fair-2021’is being held from February 27 to March 2 in a virtual mode.

5.The annual National Youth Adventure Programme, being organised by the Bharat Scouts and Guides (BS & G), New Delhi, will be conducted this year at Manali in Himachal Pradesh between March and June 2021. The programme will be for five days for each batch, consisting of 30 members only.
