1.The 44th edition of the Chennai Book Fair was inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam on February 24. It is organised at the YMCA grounds in Nandanam, about 700 stalls have been set up this year as against 800 last year.

6.The Central government has notified the new guidelines on social media regulations on February 25, 2021. It is being called as “The Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules 2021”. It has been framed in exercise of powers under section 87 (2) of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and in supersession of the earlier Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines) Rules 2011. The new guidelines have been notified with the aim of regulating social media and OTT platforms.
