1.The Chief Minister Edappadi K.Palaniswami on January 28 inaugurated the memorial established by the government at former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa’s residence ‘Veda Nilayam’ at Poes Garden in Chennai. He also unveiled a 9 feet bronze statue of Jayalalithaa on the campus of the Tamil Nadu State Council for Higher Education, and said her birth anniversary (February 24) would henceforth be observed by the government.
