1.The Ordnance Factory Tiruchirappalli (OFT) on July 29, 2021 launched a new weapon called TriCa (Trichy Carbine), a mini version of the Trichy Assault Rifle (TAR). The 7.62 X 39 mm portable weapon launched on the carbine platform was entirely manufactured at OFT. TriCa weighs 3.17 kg (including the magazine) and is lighter compared to the assault rifles.
திருச்சி துப்பாக்கித் தொழிற்சாலை (OFT) திருச்சி தாக்குதல் துப்பாக்கியின் (TAR) சிறிய வடிவான ட்ரிகா (திருச்சி கார்பைன்) என்ற புதிய துப்பாக்கியை ஜூலை 29, 2021 அன்று அறிமுகப்படுத்தியது. 7.62 X 39 மிமீ அளவிளான இந்த கையடக்க துப்பாக்கி முற்றிலும் திருச்சி துப்பாக்கித் தொழிற்சாலையில் தயாரிக்கப்பட்டது ஆகும். இதன் எடை 3.17 கிலோ, TAR உடன் ஒப்பிடும்போது இலகுவானது ஆகும்.

3.100 years of the Tamil Nadu’s Elected Legislature: The first elected legislature in the State, originally called the Madras Legislative Council, was established in 1921 under the Government of India Act 1919. The term of the Council was for a period of three years. It consisted of 132 Members of which 34 were nominated by the Governor and the rest were elected. It met for the first time on the 9th January 1921 at Fort St. George, Madras. The Council was inaugurated by the Duke of Cannaught.

4.The Government of Tamil Nadu formed a trust namely Adyar Poonga Trust (APT) in 2006 to develop an Eco Park in Adyar creek. Later, it was renamed as Chennai Rivers Restoration Trust (CRRT) in 2010. The Chief Secretary is the Chairperson of the Trust. The current projects are:
- Eco-Restoration of Adyar Creek (58 acres)
- Eco-Restoration of Adyar Creek and Estuary (300 acres)
- Integrated Cooum River Eco-Restoration Plan

5.Deepak Das took charge as the new Controller General of Accounts on August 1, 2021. Deepak Das is the 25th officer to hold the position of Controller General of Accounts (CGA).
