1.The State government has reversed its January 4 decision allowing 100% seating capacity in cinema halls. Instead, it said that cinema halls can hold extra shows.

மத்திய அரசு, மருத்துவர்கள், நீதிமன்றம் என எல்லா தரப்பில் இருந்தும் எதிர்ப்பு வர, இப்போது தியேட்டர்களில் மீண்டும் 50 சதவிகித இருக்கைகளுக்கே அனுமதி என அறிவித்திருக்கிறது தமிழக அரசு.

2.The Governor Banwarilal Purohit has administered the oath of office to retired IAS officer M.Malik Feroze Khan as Ombudsman for local bodies in the State. Mr. Khan will hold the post for three years.

தமிழ்நாடு உள்ளாட்சி அமைப்பு முறை மன்ற நடுவராக முன்னாள் மாநில தேர்தல் ஆணையர் மாலிக் பெரோஸ்கான் நியமிக்கப்படுவதாக தமிழக அரசு கடந்த மாதம் அரசாணை வெளியிட்டது. இதையடுத்து உள்ளாட்சி அமைப்பு முறை மன்ற நடுவராக மாலிக் பெரோஸ்கானுக்கு தமிழக கவர்னர் பன்வாரிலால் புரோகித் கிண்டியில் உள்ள கவர்னர் மாளிகையில் பதவிப்பிரமாணம் செய்து வைத்தார். இந்த பதவியில் அவர் மூன்று ஆண்டுகள் பணியில் இருப்பார்.

3.The Supreme Court has received a petition to review a December 8 decision giving the go ahead to the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) and the Centre to acquire land for the construction of the 277.3 km long Chennai-Krishnagiri-Salem national highway project, worth over ₹10,000 crore.

4.The National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI) has announced that it will offer a free IDN (Internationalized Domain Name) in any of their preferred 22 official Indian language along with every IN domain booked by the registrant. Applicants will also get a free email in local language. This offer has been created to stimulate the adoption of भारत (IDN) domain name and proliferation of local language content.

இந்திய தேசிய இணைய பரிவர்த்தனை (NIXI) பதிவுசெய்தவர்களுக்கு ஒவ்வொரு IN டொமைனுடன் தங்களுக்கு விருப்பமான 22 இந்திய அட்டவணை மொழிகளில் இலவச ஐடிஎன் (சர்வதேசமயமாக்கப்பட்ட டொமைன் பெயர்) வழங்குவதாக அறிவித்துள்ளது. விண்ணப்பதாரர்கள் உள்ளூர் மொழியில் இலவச மின்னஞ்சலையும் பெறுவார்கள். இந்த சலுகையானது உள்ளூர் மொழிகளில் ‘டொமைன் பெயர் உள்ளடக்கத்தின்’ பெருக்கத்தை தூண்டுவதற்காக உருவாக்கப்பட்டதாகும்.

7.The NCAVES India Forum 2021 is being organised by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI). The NCAVES Project, funded by EU, has been jointly implemented by the United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the Secretariat of the Convention of Biological Diversity (CBD). India is one of the five countries taking part in this project – the other countries being Brazil, China, South Africa and Mexico.
