1. The Madras High Court’s decision to tighten the selection process for recruitment of district judges and introduce negative marking has made it difficult for candidates to clear even the preliminary examinations. While not even a single candidate could get passed the prelims held last in 2019, only six have cleared the exam conducted this year.

மெட்ராஸ் உயர்நீதிமன்றம் உத்தரவிட்ட புதிய முறைப்படி தமிழகத்தில் மாவட்ட நீதிபதி பணியிடங்களுக்கு நடத்தப்பட்ட முதல்நிலைத் தேர்வில் வெறும் 6 பேர் மட்டுமே தேர்ச்சி அடைந்துள்ளனர். இதற்கு முன்னதாக கடந்த 2019ம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் மாதம் 31 மாவட்ட நீதிபதிகளைத் தேர்ந்தெடுக்க நடத்தப்பட்ட முதல்நிலைத்தேர்வில் இந்த முறை பின்பற்றப்பட்டதால் பங்கேற்ற 4 ஆயிரத்திற்கும் மேற்பட்டவர்களில் ஒருவர் கூட தேர்ச்சி பெறவில்லை.

2. The National Jal Jeevan Mission has launched an innovation challenge in partnership with the Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade to develop portable devices for water testing. The main objective of the exercise is to bring an innovative, modular, and cost-effective solution to develop portable devices that can be used at the household level to test the drinking water quality instantly, easily and accurately.

தேசிய ஜல் ஜீவன் மிஷன், தொழில் ஊக்குவிப்பு மற்றும் உள்நாட்டு வர்த்தகத்துறையுடன் இணைந்து ‘புதுமை சவாலை’ அறிமுகப்படுத்தியுள்ளது. குடிநீரின் தரத்தை உடனடியாகவும் எளிதாகவும் துல்லியமாகவும் சோதிக்க விலை குறைந்த சாதனங்களை உருவாக்குவதே இதன் முக்கிய நோக்கமாகும்.

 

3. The Social Justice and Empowerment Ministry has invited comments from the public on a draft University of Disabilities Studies and Rehabilitation Sciences Bill, 2021 till January 3. The Ministry has said the proposed university to be located in Kamrup district, Assam, would be “the first of its kind.”

4. The Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) and Tata have signed a formal agreement on 11th November, 2020 for setting up the Tata Indian Institute of Skills (Tata-IIS) at Mumbai. The institute has launched the first batch with two courses in factory automation.

டாடா இந்தியன் இன்ஸ்டிடியூட் ஆப் ஸ்கில்ஸ் (Tata-IIS) மும்பையில் அமைப்பதற்காக திறன் மேம்பாட்டு மற்றும் தொழில்முனைவோர் அமைச்சகம் (MSDE) மற்றும் டாடா நிறுவனம் 2020 நவம்பர் 11 அன்று ஒப்பந்தத்தில் கையெழுத்திட்டன. இந்த நிறுவனம் தொழிற்சாலை ஆட்டோமேஷனில் இரண்டு படிப்புகளுடன் முதல் தொகுப்பை அறிமுகப்படுத்தியுள்ளது.

 

5. The Jammu and Kashmir administration has extended the ban on 4G mobile Internet up to January 8, saying “the restrictions on the high speed connectivity acted as an impediment to attempts” of the militants to disturb the District Development Council (DDC) polls.

6. The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has said it had released the first set of data from the country’s second mission to the Moon, Chandrayaan-2, for the general public. Chandrayaan-2 was launched on July 22, 2019 from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh.

இந்திய விண்வெளி ஆராய்ச்சி நிறுவனம் (ISRO) அதனால் சந்திரனுக்கு அனுப்பப்பட்ட சந்திரயான் -2 இல் இருந்து வந்த முதல் தரவுத் தொகுப்பை பொது மக்களுக்காக வெளியிட்டதாகக் கூறியுள்ளது. சந்திரயான்-2 ஆந்திராவின் ஸ்ரீஹரிகோட்டாவில் உள்ள சதீஷ் தவான் விண்வெளி மையத்திலிருந்து 2019 ஜூலை 22 அன்று ஏவப்பட்டது.

 

7. The Forest Minister of Madhya Pradesh recently launched the first hot air balloon safari of India in the Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve of India in MP.

மத்தியப் பிரதேச வனத்துறை அமைச்சர் சமீபத்தில் இந்தியாவின் முதல் வெப்ப காற்று பலூன் சஃபாரி ஒன்றை மத்தியப் பிரதேசத்தில் உள்ள பந்தவ்கர் புலி காப்பகத்தில் தொடங்கிவைத்தார்.

 

8. The Ministry of Urban Affairs recently launched a new mobile application and a portal called “E-Sampada”. The application provides a single window for services such as allotment for more than one lakh Government residential accommodations and office space allotment to Government organisations.
